Train to be a Public Safety Diver / Dive Rescue Specialist

Product Description
Prepare for the International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists (IADRS) Waterman's Fitness Test
This downloadable eBook is designed for public safety and rescue divers as well as civilian, commercial divers to get fit when they are in dive status.
Since a large number of Dive Rescue Specialists are foremost either career, part-paid , or volunteer firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, paramedics, or police officers, they must pass physical agility tests (sometimes yearly) which authorize them to function in those capacities in addition to their involvement on the Dive Rescue Team.
The basic diving gear pack configuration worn by the dive rescue specialist can exceed 100lbs. Additional backup scuba tanks and other diving equipment can add to the weight burden imposed on the diver, especially in hot summer conditions which add a potential for heat injuries such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
In Rescue Mode drowning victim operations, some Dive Teams mandates that divers must be dressed in their diving dry suit and scuba gear pack, and be in the water starting the dive search pattern within a 6-minute time limit! This places a tremendous cardiovascular performance burden on the diver. Heart rates exceeding 120 beats per minute are not uncommon before a dive even begins.
These demands, coupled with cold water, under ice and entanglement hazards, and the emotional trauma of coming face to face with a drowning victim underwater can make the physical burden on the diver extreme. For all these reasons, divers must possess excellent watermanship skills and comfort in the water, along with excellent cardiovascular and mental health.
This downloabable Six Week Plan will help you get into shape and enable you to better perform your job or hobby. It may even help you save the lives of others OR your OWN life.
